She is a world class physician with an intimate, in depth knowledge of this subject and fortunately has authored this book to help sufferers understand the ins and outs of this complex subject. To say that this work is encyclopedic would be an understatement but the explanations albeit comprehensive are easily understood. One could also describe it as an outline with explanations for a multi year course on the subject of pelvic pain, likely useful even for medical students contemplating a specialty in urology. If you have to deal with any form of pelvic pain or are merely interested in the subject this is a must have book.
